Introducing you to Boots, who has been with us since 2016. He is a very quiet shy dog who has a super sweet nature. He lets the other dogs come in and have their fuss and waits patiently at the back for his turn.
Due to his very quiet shy nature, we are not looking to place Boots in a home with children, however older visiting children to the home shouldn't cause any issues as long as he has the space he needs to move away. He would prefer a quiet home as much as possible.
We are unsure how Boots is around cats, so are looking for a cat free home. Boots can live with another laid back, relaxed dog who will not be too pushy or in his face. Boots has no issues at all with food or toys, and usually let the others take his food. He really doesn't have a bad bone in his body. Like all our dogs, Boots will require to attend a formal training class once he is better settled. He is currently living in foster with Florentina and has proven to be very clean in a home, however his adopters should be willing and able to further work on this once he arrives to his new home.
Since being in our care Boots has had a constant eye irritation which has been diagnosed as Dry Eye. Boots will require to have daily eye drops for the remainder of his life. Also Boots recently had a tumor removed from his ear, which was causing some mild discomfort. It is likely that this will recur so further vet intervention may be required. Because of these two pre-existing conditions pet insurance will not cover the costs. This would be an expense that his adopters should be willing and able to cover for the rest of his lifetime.
Despite everything Boots has been through in his short life, he remains a happy dog with lots of love to give.
Someone somewhere must have a Boots sized space in their home and heart. If you do then please complete the adoption application and someone will contact you
Boots would welcome a doggy sponsor while he remains in our care. This will help us cover his daily food costs along with the medicated eye drops he requires. If you would like to help with this please get in touch.
