Meet Obi, one of 3 pups who joined us earlier this year. Obi and his siblings were found by Florin in distress when some young children were trying to hang his sister. Thankfully Obi has recovered from his trauma and is now ready for us to find him a family.
Like our other pups before him, Obi is looking for an adopter who can demonstrate an awareness of force free handling and ownership, something that all our dogs need. The only thing we have found he doesn't like so far is having his nose touched.
Like all pups Obi is high energy for a lot of the day, he can be destructive and does not have an off switch. His adopters should be fully aware of the commitment required to live with a pup and work on all things to shape him into a great natured young dog. Please note we did not see either of Obi's parents so are unable to guarantee the size he will be when fully grown. Our best guess is that he will be medium sized but his adopters should be open to him potentially growing to large Labrador sized. Of the three pups, Obi is the most loving who enjoys cuddles the most.
Obi and his siblings have become more confident since being socialised around our other dogs, with that in mind we are looking for a household with another dog, who is balanced and well trained who can help show Obi the way of life in his new home. We are not looking to place Obi as an only dog in his new home.
Obi's adopters should be around for the majority of the day, or at most not left for more than 4-5 hours in total per day. Obi will be required to attend formal training once he is settled to work on all his basic training required. Obi has not been walked on a lead and harness, so this will be something to be worked on with patience by his adopters.
Obi is living in a foster home just now so we hope that toilet training required will be minimum, however his adopters should be aware of this and willing to work positively on this.
If you would like to offer Obi the perfect forever home he is looking for then please complete the adoption application form and someone will contact you.
If you would like to be a doggy sponsor then please see How You Can Help for further details. All our dogs love toys and treats and would welcome these from our Amazon Wishlist.
