The rescue is entirely volunteer run so we always appreciate support in many ways.
We require help with the following:
A homecheck is a valuable risk assessment that each rescue will carry out to ensure that the home, and those within are suitable for the chosen dog after a face to face meet up. A homecheck can also help the rescue select a dog if more than one is suitable. No experience required as training and support is given for this essential part of the rescue work. You can do homechecks as little or as often as you wish - access to facebook is required however as we organise all our homechecks there. Also access to a camera or a camera phone also along with computer access to either type up the completed homecheck to email back or a scanner to scan and email. As above, fundraising is an essential part of the rescues work. Without support to fundraise we cannot help cover the day to day care costs for the dogs in Florentina's care. We help to cover the food, vaccination, microchip and neutering costs via donations, auctions and fundraising at events. Experience is not essential however enthusiasm, the ability to work within a group and individually is a must. Fundraising can be done from your home when you have time to spare, we will also be setting up local fundraising groups to organise awareness days, car boot sales, auctions, quizzes and other events.
